Tshekhro is from phek and the son of a police Man. After the Quest Alliance- YouthNet retail training, He has been placed as an intern with Bambusa. He hopes to open his own business one day. He says, after college, I felt jobless, I sat for exams once in a while but in all honesty I used to spend 5-6 hours on FB liking pics, sharing videos on whatsapp and my day would go by. I felt each day of my life passing by and I was becoming more lazy, bored, had no vision of success and so I wanted 'change' and 'change starts with me'.
One day, a working friend of mine encouraged me to drop into Nagaland Job Centre. It's been 3 months now and I'm learning so much each day, from the day I entered NJC to my trainers who trained me on professional work skills and now doing real practical work at Bambusa. I can see Myself growing each day. My communication skills, confidence, time management and working with teams is improving. I'm confident in a few years when I open my own business, I will be equipped with the skills and the chances of success will be higher. I don't want to take a business loan and not have the skills. I want to have the skills and then take a loan.
His message to young friends' Never be ashamed of the little things because if you can't do the little things, you will never be able to do the big things, when your foundation is strong, God will favour you to go higher. Don't spend too much time on things that don't add value like gossip and political speculation,
They don't even care about your penny opinion and there's no Gold Medal for being popular on social media. Spend time on yourself, spend time to learn, spend time to appreciate, to develop life skills and build your career one day at a time.
